SCCC Future Business Leaders of America to hold events in honor of FBLA Week

The Saline County Career Center Future Busi‐ness Leaders of America will be taking part in the annual FBLA Week. Gov. Michael Parson has declared Feb. 5‐11 as FBLA Week. This week‐long celebration is held in February during Ca‐reer and Technical Education month and is recognized by chapters throughout the United States. The governor encouraged all Missouri‐ans to support their local FBLA chapters during FBLA Week.

There’s a tree, hidden somewhere in the valley where Turkey Creek meets the Tomahawk, that has been a source of intrigue for me for quite some time now. Rumor once held —that during the rough years surrounding what we now call “the great de‐pression” — a man, who was related to me in some fashion, had somehow come to be in possession of a large sack of gold coins.
