MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE (Feb. 2, 2023) — Missouri Valley College’s Murrell Library will host “Boom! The Rise and Fall of Missouri’s Black Business District,” a traveling exhibition organized by the Missouri State Museum. The exhibit tells the story of five Black business districts throughout the state. It will be on display for the public until Feb. 28 during normal library hours.
On Senior Night, visiting Hannibal took control early, and the Lady Pirates went on to claim a 53-19 North Central Missouri Conference win on Kevin Hart Court over the Marshall Lady Owls Friday. The Lady Pirates scored nine of the game’s first 10 points and led 14-6 after a quarter.
For the first time in over two years, the Marshall Owls have won two straight basketball games. The Owls ended their 17game losing streak in the North Central Missouri conference with a win at home over Hannibal Friday.

It was a tough night for the Sweet Springs basketball teams at Saint Paul Friday. The Lady Greyhounds dropped the opener 32-22.
Sometimes it pays to be a little lucky. Santa Fe junior Landon Hostetter was the man in the final minute for the Chiefs in their 36-35 I-70 Conference win at Concordia Friday.
