What is forgiveness?

As a Christian, forgiveness is one of the foundations to our belief system. The Bible mentions the word “forgive” 127 times and the main purpose is to let us know that God forgives, therefore we should forgive.

Carey Johnson named rural K-8 Administrator of the Year

During the annual Missouri Association of Rural Education/MO K‐8 Association Conference this past fall, Mrs. Carey Johnson, Hardeman R‐X superintendent, was rec‐ognized as the Missouri K‐8 Administrator of the Year. The value of Mrs. Johnson’s leadership is beyond measure, and the Hardeman School District is grateful to have her expertise and experience as they con‐tinue to strive for excel‐lence.

The Marshall Municipal Pool’s grand opening was scheduled for Sunday, May 28, [year]. Admission prices were 25-cents for adults and 10-cents for children, which could also be purchased as a package. Pictured is the main entrance pool house, which is still operated at Indian Foothills Park. The municipal pool is now known as the Marshall Aquatic Center.

Missouri lawmakers debate on pregnant and postpartum women legislation

Missouri lawmakers are weighing legislation that seeks to provide ex‐panded MO HealthNet coverage for low‐income women. If passed, the cov‐erage would include full Medicaid benefits for the length of the pregnancy as well as for one year fol‐lowing the end of the pregnancy. Sen. Elaine Gannon, R‐De Soto, and Sen. Tracy McCreery, D‐Olivette, are sponsoring bills to expand coverage.
