Marshall’s Lady Owls’ swimming team accumulated 219 points and finished third as a team seven-team meet at Independence Wednesday. Grain Valley took the top spot with 463 points.

It was a sweep of a couple of nonconference games for the Santa Fe basketball teams Thursday night at home. The Lady Chiefs opened with a 5045 win over Richmond.

Slater’s scoring duo of sophomore Brandon Terrill and junior Grayson Zdybel combined for 44 points, and the Wildcats held off Windsor won win 58-52 Thursday night at Slater. The Lady Wildcats won the opener 47-32.

Battling three teams from the North Central Missouri Conference, the Marshall Lady Owls defeated Moberly, Kirksville and Hannibal Wednesday at Moberly. In a 60-6 win over Moberly, the Lady Owls split the two contested matches.
