It was a tough night for the Marshall basketball teams on the road at North Central Missouri Conference foe Kirksville Tuesday. Kirksville swept the league doubleheader 61-26 in the girls game and 72-47 in the boys game.

Summer Young’s Marshall Lady Owls’ wrestling team won one match by shutout and lost one by 18 points at MHS Tuesday. The Lady Owls blanked Richmond 66-0 and lost to Smith-Cotton 48-30.
Smith-Cotton and Richmond came to Marshall Tuesday and left with dual match wins over the Owls. The tigers defeated Marshall 54-24.
In the first nine games of the 2022-23 season, Rachel Harding’s Slater Lady Wildcats had zero wins. Now, they have won two in a row.
Municipal Services cancelled residential trash pick up in Marshall Thursday, Dec. 22, and Friday, Dec. 23, due to inclement weather. Commercial pick up conintued as scheduled. Next week, residential routes will be delayed one day due to the Christmas holiday. The Marshall Brush and Compost Area will be closed Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2.
Tuesday night, Dec. 20, a Marshall woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Route YY.
