The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s basketball teams welcomed in Mount Mercy (Iowa) for a Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader Wednesday evening inside the Burns Athletic Complex. MARSHALL (Nov. 28, 2022) — The MVC Education Division and Murrell Library participated in Jumpstart's Read for the Record, which is an early literacy campaign. This event brings millions of adults and children together to read the same book on the same day all around the United States. MVC worked with several Saline County school districts, Head Start, local childcare providers, and Marshall Public Schools and reached over 3,000 listeners.
The 30th annual Hospice “Tree of Life” ceremony, honoring Fitzgibbon hospice patients who have passed, will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6 in the hospital atrium. The annual tradition provides families and friends who have experienced the loss of a loved one an opportunity to honor their memory by hanging a Christmas ornament with their name on it during the ceremony.
