December 5, 1947 — December 1, 2022 Dennis Barry Hare, age 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at his home in rural Marshall, surrounded by friends and loved ones.
Laura and I went to town last Saturday evening to join the community in celebrating the beginning of the 2022 Christmas season. The gathering was much like what I imagine it might be in small communities all across the country.

We all tend to generalize and lump everyone into categories. joins the Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra on stage, performing a large selection of holiday music. “A Christmas Concert” was performed Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Harold L. Lickey Auditorium at Bueker Middle School. Selections included “Once in David’s City,” “A Canadian Brass Christmas,” “Sing, Choirs of Angels” and “Everywhere Christmas Tonight,” among others. The orchestra was conducted by Kevin Lines, and the chorus directed by Ron Sayer, with accompanists Haruka Morinaga and Pam Riggs.
JEFFERSON CITY (Nov. 23, 2022) — Join Arrow Rock State Historic Site team members, friends and family as they open the historic buildings to give visitors a glimpse into what Christmas was like years ago. From 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, historic site buildings will be open and decorated for the holidays. Guests are encouraged to tour the buildings and visit with interpreters.
