Fuchs medals at NCMC Golf Tourney
Shooting a 103, Marshal senior golfer Karsyn Fuchs earned a medal at the North Central Missouri Conference meet at Kirksville Monday. Fuchs shot a 49 on the front nine and 54 on the back.

Competition was stiff at the annual Gans Creek Cross Country meet in Columbia Saturday. Each varsity race had more than 200 runners.
Doctors now believe MSU broadcaster Art Hains has West Nile
Legendary Missouri State University radio broadcasterArt Hains remains hospitalized in critical condition, but the family said Sunday doctors now believe Hains contracted West Nile virus. Hains, 66, was hospitalized this past week and placed on a ventilator after experiencing pain in his leg that quickly devolved into Hains losing mobility and struggling to breathe.
Greyhounds lose I-70 battle at Saint Paul
Host Saint Paul and Sweet Springs traded touchdowns through the first quarter and a half, but the Saints scored the last two touchdowns of the first 24 minutes, en route to a 50-28 I-70 Conference win Thursday.

Derick Juarez’s OT goal lifts Owls to win over Hannibal
Neither team had scored since late in the first half. Marshall took the initial lead on a goal in the 31st minute, but the host Hannibal Pirates tied the game seven minutes later Saturday.
