On Senior Night, the Marshall Lady Owls’ softball team rallied from a 5-0 deficit to tie Smith-Cotton in a non-conference home game. But the Lady Tigers plated a run in the top of the seventh and held on for a 65 win Thursday at MHS.
Ashton Sander’s Santa Fe Lady Chiefs’ volleyball team split a pair of matches this week, including one win in the I-70 Conference. The Lady Chiefs swept Wellington 25-13-25-9, 2513 in I-70 play and lost a non-conference match versus Sacred Heart in five sets- 20-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-20, 13-15.
In an event that had to be moved to Marshall from Mexico due to tennis courts there not being playable, the Hannibal Lady Pirates won the North Central Missouri Conference girls tennis tournament by compiling 48 total points. Kirksville was second with 40 points.
