Associated Press SEDALIA (AP) — Missouri's Republican and Democratic U.S. Senate nominees on Thursday framed their campaigns around their support for or opposition to policies backed by President Joe Biden as they vied for farmers’ votes at the Missouri State Fair.

Nationally-ranked Lady Vikings begin soccer season with shutout win
Senior defender Natalia Ruiz scored two goals, and junior midfielder Laura Quero and freshman Llara Llorente added one goal each, as the No. 21-ranked Missouri Valley College women’s soccer team blanked Harris-Stowe State in a non-conference contest on Gregg-Mitchell Field in Marshall Sunday. Junior midfielder Rina Kinami and sophomore forward Ashley Arribas each had one assist. Senior goalkeeper Marina Barneda made one save to earn the shutout in goal.

MVC receives Mabee Foundation challenge grant
MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE (Aug. 22,2022) —Missouri Valley College President Ph.D. Bonnie Humphrey has announced that the college has received a $655,000 challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation. This grant is contingent on the college raising the remaining fundraising portion of $380,940, by July 12, 2023.
