Missouri’s senior congressional Republicans support Pelosi Taiwan trip

Missourinet Missouri’s Senator Roy Blunt is among 28 Republicans who’ve signed onto a statement supporting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to visit Taiwan. “I’m about to use four words in a row that I haven’t used in this way before and those words are Speaker Pelosi was right when she decided to include Taiwan on her visit to Asia,” Blunt said earlier today in remarksto reporters that were broadcast on CSPAN.

World-renowned Budweiser Clydesdales to appear in Marshall

MARSHALL – The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales, the symbol of quality and tradition for Anheuser-Busch since 1933, is scheduled to make an appearance in the area on Tuesday, Aug 16, in conjunction with theMissouri State Fair. The eight-horse hitch will be harnessed and hitched to the famous red beer wagon at the Marshall square at 6 p.m. on Aug. 16. Make your way to the Missouri State Fair and check the schedule in the Clydesdale tent for all other parading days.On Aug. 18-20, the “Gentle Giants,” as they are often referred to, will participate in the Missouri State Fair Draft Horse Show. The draft show begins at 5:45 p.m.
