Karen Gale ‘Kate’ Land

Karen Gale “Kate” Land, 74, of Marshall, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice, and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born May 4, 1947, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Drake and Betty Louise Bacon Drake, who survives of Marshall. On April 16, 1971, she married Eugene C. “Gene” Land, who survives of the home. Kate earned her LPN degree and retired from Marshall Habilitation Center.

In addition to her mother, Betty, and her husband, Gene, she is survived by two sons, Donald Triebsch of Marshall and Tommy Land of Marshall; five grandchildren, Jackie Stockman, Robert Triebsch, Lindsey Triebsch, Michael Triebsch and Kaitlin Land; three great-grandchildren, Andalyn Finley, Cali Stockman and Jaxon Stockman; five siblings, Phyllis Fisher of Sedalia, Brenda Persinger of Liberty, Steve Drake of Glasgow, Richard Drake of Marshall, and Mary Mikle of Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
