Senior Raziyah Thomas became the first member of the two-year-old Marshall girls’ wrestling program to sign a college letter-of-intent.
Thomas compiled a 50-14 career record and twice qualified for the MSHSAA Championships, placing fourth at 174 pounds her junior season. She’s headed to NAIA member Avila University in Kansas City, which will begin its program next year in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Taking part in the signing ceremony were (from left) father Marcus Franklin, Thomas, mother Manda Thomas and cousin Avian Thomas.
