Billy Harper, 58, of Columbia, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born April 14, 1962, in Marshall, he was the son of William F. “Bill” Harper, who survives of Columbia, and the late Linda Sue Bacon Harper. Billy lived in Columbia most of his life and was a 1980 graduate of Hickman High School. He then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in drafting from Central Missouri State University, now University of Central Missouri. On Aug. 2, 1986, he married Connie Burton, who survives of the home. Billy’s entire professional career was spent as a draftsman with SEMCO in Columbia.
In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sarah Tynes (Travis) of Kansas City and Erin Harper of Columbia; three grandchildren, Issa, Zoey and Lucas; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
