Robert Joel ‘Bob’ McCoy
Robert Joel “Bob” McCoy, 61, of Marshall, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. The Rev. Mike Hibbard, the Rev. Ken Randolph and William W. Harlow will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Born Jan. 6, 1957, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Joseph W. McCoy and Rosa Jane Barton McCoy. Bob worked as a concrete truck driver for 35 years, with most of those years working for Ready-Mix. He lived in Saline County most of his life and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Malta Bend, until it closed. Bob loved to hunt and fish, go to bike and car shows, go to the races, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Bob was a friend of Bill W.
Survivors include one son, Wyn McCoy and his fianceé, Sok Noeum, of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren, Alicia and Riley; one stepson, Damien Koch and his family, also of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Joyce Ann Richardson and husband Joe of Tucson, Ariz.; his best friend and life coach, Janie Adcock of Marshall; as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Rose Buckles.
