The Saline County Holiday Project will conduct an intersection collection Saturday, July 21, from 8 a.m. to noon at the corners of Yerby Street and Odell Avenue and at the corner of Arrow Street and Miami Avenue.

Project organizers are seeking volunteers to give one hour of their time to help with the collection.

Anyone interested in volunteering should call Sandi Hisle at 660-831-5080.

  • Thanks for the warning. I try to avoid those intersections if I know there will be a group panhandling. Don't get me wrong, the Holiday Project is a wonderful thing, but there has to be a better way to raise funds than standing in the street begging for change.
