MVC brings new trainers on board

Missouri Valley College announces two additions to the staff of new head athletic trainer Adam Ybarra.

Columbia native Lyndi Fuemmeler has been hired as an assistant trainer and Sierra Fultz of Atwater, Calif., will be an intern trainer.

Fuemmeler is a 2009 Central Methodist graduate who comes most recently from Lindenwood, where she was the head trainer for the men's soccer and lacrosse teams. She will serve the women's soccer, basketball and soccer programs and instruct in the School of Nursing and Health Services.

"She is very familiar with the Heart of America Conference and is glad to still be a part of it," Ybarra said. "She is a very qualified athletic trainer with an upbeat personality and is going to bring lots of energy to the MVC staff."

Fultz matriculated from Graceland in 2008 and, like Fuemmeler, got her master's degree from Lindenwood. She was an adjunct instructor, teaching both on-line and lecture classes, with the Valley Division of Education last year.

Fultz will be responsible for the women's volleyball and wrestling teams, along with baseball.
