Carrollton man hurt in 2-vehicle crash in Malta Bend Saturday

A Carrollton man suffered moderate injuries Saturday afternoon, May 15, in a two-vehicle crash in Malta Bend, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Floyd J. Frakes, 60, was take to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment, according to the report.

Frakes was a passenger in a 1999 Ford Contour driven by Glenda L. Frakes, 63, also of Carrollton.

The car was stopped at the stop sign on U.S. Highway 65 at the intersection with Linn Street in Malta Bend when it was struck from behind by a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Robert L. Benson, 79, of Indianola, Iowa, troopers said.

No injuries were reported for Glenda Frakes or Benson. All three were wearing safety devices, according to the report.
