Turn limitations at intersection of U.S. 65 and College Street announced by MoDOT

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced today that lane restrictions at College Street and U.S. 65 in Marshall would be in effect beginning Friday, Sept. 21, at 7 a.m.

All vehicles over 20 feet in length traveling north and south on U.S. 65 will be unable to make right-hand turns onto College Street from the intersection. This restriction does not affect passenger vehicles such as cars or trucks. The restriction will be in place for approximately two weeks.

Southbound U.S. 65 to westbound College Street will be restricted at the intersection starting on Friday, Sept. 21, at 7 a.m. Northbound U.S. 65 to eastbound College Street will be restricted at the intersection starting on Monday, Sept. 24, at 7 a.m.

The lane restrictions are necessary so crews can remove the existing shoulder to install pavement for the new turn lanes at the intersection.

Motorists should choose an alternate route during the project. This project is weather dependent and could be rescheduled.
