FULTON -- The Missouri Valley College women's soccer team posted its fourth win in a row Monday, edging a defense-minded William Woods squad, 1-0, at Fulton

The lone goal came in the 34th minute, when freshman Krystal Yergovich sent a "through" ball ahead to junior Malin Gollwitzer -- who flipped it over the head of sophomore WWU goalkeeper Kristen Angle for her team-high 10th score of the season.

Although the Lady Owls had a slight advantage in shooting, 7-6, MVC sophomore Keri Huston made seven saves for her fifth shutout of the season.

The Lady Vikings, ranked fourth in NAIA Region V, begin Heart of America Conference play at home Wednesday against Baker.
