Promoter: Poor ticket sales why concert canceled

Tuesday, September 7, 2004
Poor ticket sales is being cited as the reason Clint Black's Marshall concert was canceled.

Glyn Laverick, event manager for Full Circle Leisure and the Crossroads Amphitheater in Marshall said in an interview late Tuesday morning that the Clint Black concert scheduled for Monday, Sept. 6, was cancelled because ticket sales fell short of the level necessary to pay the artist fee and production expenses.

Laverick said a decision has not yet been made about Full Circle's next scheduled concert, involving Marshall native Bob James and jazz group Fourplay, set for Sunday, Sept. 12.

A story with additional information from Laverick will be included in Wednesday's edition.
