Thursday, January 29, 2004

A Missouri Public Service Commission public hearing concerning proposed natural gas rate increases for Aquila, which was canceled Monday because of bad weather, has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 9.

PSC representatives will conduct a general information session beginning at noon Feb. 9 in the council chambers of the Marshall City Offices building, 214 N. Lafayette. The information session will be followed by the public hearing.

Aquila is seeking to increase its revenues from natural gas by approximately $5.6 million. Under its proposal, the company states typical residential customers would see their monthly bills increase a little more than $9, or about $108 over 12 months.
