Missing woman located in Arizona
Marshall authorities say a woman reported missing last week has been located in Arizona.
Police Chief Jim Simmerman said the Marshall Police Department was contacted shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, by Michael McCabe, saying his sister, Jeanne M. McCabe, had been located.
McCabe reported receiving a phone call from his mother, who lives in Oregon, saying that Jeanne had called a sister in Riverside, Calif., saying she was in Tucson, Ariz., and intended to take a bus to Riverside.
Jeanne was removed from the MULES/NCIC computer as a missing person.
"The police department wishes to acknowledge all the assistance they received in this investigation," Simmerman said in a written statement. "Numerous people came forward and gave the police statements of seeing Jeanne McCabe in Marshall the day she left. The relatives contacted numerous people out of Marshall, and the area media representatives did an excellent job of getting the word out. Everyone's help was greatly appreciated."
