Program set at Van Meter about animal tracks
The Department of Natural Resources will hold two programs Saturday, June 8, at Van Meter State Park.
On Saturday evening the park interpreter will present a program titled "The Tales Tracks Tell." This program will feature a demonstration and discussion of how to identify animal tracks. Following the program, visitors will have the chance to make their own tracks to take home. The evening program will be held at 8 p.m. in the park's small shelter house.
Prior to the evening program, visitors are invited to accompany the interpreter on a nature hike beginning at 2 p.m. from the large shelter house.
Both programs are free and open to the public.
