Lewis to speak at Lincoln Day event
Todd Lewis of Sedalia, 118th District state representative whose district includes the southwest portion of Saline County and Sweet Springs, will be the guest speaker for the local Lincoln Day event at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Marshall Hometown Buffet.
St. Peter sets kindergarten registration
St. Peter School in Marshall will hold kindergarten registration for the 2003-04 school year Tuesday, March 18, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the school chapel.
The evening will include a short program about kindergarten with Father Kevin Gormley, Principal Linda Garner, and teachers among the speakers. Parents will be given enrollment forms for kindergartners and a list will be available of necessary school supplies. Following the program, parents and incoming kindergartners are invited on a tour of the school including the kindergarten room.
SCCC to host job fair Tuesday
The Saline County Career Center, 900 W. Vest in Marshall, will host a job fair open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 18.
Businesses from Marshall and the surrounding area will be in attendance. The job fair is sponsored by the Marshall Missouri Employer Committee, Saline County Career Center, Marshall Chamber of Commerce and Missouri Career Center.
