MFD called to Friday morning structure fire

The Marshall Fire Department was called to the scene of a structure fire Friday morning, June 2, at approximately 7 a.m. on the 3400 block of West Arrow Street. According to the incident report, the fire was determined to have involved a cooling unit. The fire was reportedly out on their arrival. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1, a young Marshall man was injured when he was involved in a crash in Pettis County. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the three-vehicle collision occurred when a 1995 Kenworth — traveling north on U.S. Highway 65 near 32nd Street — failed to stop at a traffic signal.
