Sobriety checkpoint set for May

The Marshall Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in an unspecified location between May 6 and May 20. The goal of the checkpoint is to find and apprehend intoxicated and impaired drivers. The checkpoint will begin late in the evening and conclude early in the morning. Marshall resident suffers minor injuries in crash (Local News ~ 05/07/15)
One person was injured in an early evening accident in Saline County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. The accident occurred at approximately 4:54 p.m. Thursday, May 7, on U.S. 65, just north of Golden Valley Road. Jessica M. Hirt, 38, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, then travelled off the left side of the roadway, causing the 2000 Dodge Durango to overturn. Minor injuries occurred but treatment was refused at the scene...
