A record number volunteers gather outside Marshall's City Office Building on Saturday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m. to participate in a city-wide clean up, according to Kemm. "I am shocked by how many people are here," says Kemm said. Together groups such as the Missouri Valley College football team, Sigma Nu fraternity, Nonprofit Leadership Alliance/American Humanics Student Association sweep through the city cleaning up the streets. "We think it's important to serve the community," says MVC Associate Professor Shawn Terryberry. "This is our students' home for four or more years." -
