MoDOT: Asphalt patching work planned on Route M Wednesday

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be patching asphalt Wednesday, April 14, through Monday, April 19, on Route M in Saline County, according to a MoDOT news release. Work will begin at state Highway 240 and end at Route F. Traffic in the work zone will be reduced to one lane beginning at noon Wednesday and will continue through the rest of the week to end at 3:30 p.m. each day...

Mother's Candied Dills Ingredients: 1 quart dill pickles, cut in 1/4-inch slices (or spears). Drain, soak in ice water 1 hour. Drain and pack in quart jar. 1-1/2 cups sugar 1/2 cup vinegar 1/4 cup water Directions: Combine sugar, vinegar and water in medium saucepan. Boil for a few minutes. Pour hot syrup over drained dills.
