Malta Bend superintendent opposes Blunt's '65% solution'

Superintendent Ryan Nowlin introduced a resolution to the Malta Bend Board of Education Monday that would express the board's opposition to the "65 percent solution" idea that has been touted by Gov. Matt Blunt. The board tabled the resolution because it expresses unanimous consent of the board and two members were not present at the meeting, but Nowlin provided the board with a reading of the resolution and with the rationale for it...

A Malta Bend boy suffered moderate injuries Monday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle on a street in Malta Bend. According to a preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kathy S.
