Concert promoters looking for increased local support in form of ticket sales

The bottom line is it's all about the bottom line -- as in tickets sold. Glyn Laverick, in charge of booking artists to appear in Marshall's Crossroads Amphi-theater and marketing those acts for concert promotion company Full Circle Leisure, said the cancellation of a Labor Day concert by country star Clint Black was simply a result of ticket sales lagging far short of a break-even point. Black's concert would have been the third staged at the new venue during the 2004 season...
