Owls dispose of Clinton to begin MHS tourney (High School Sports ~ 09/12/03)
The Marshall boys' soccer team had only some minor bumps en route to a decisive 5-2 victory Thursday over Clinton in the opening round of the MHS Tournament. The wet field may have slowed down the Owls, a technically proficient squad. Another possible impediment, taking into account its 7-0 romp over the Cardinals a year ago, is all of the new parts which are having to be meshed in a Marshall team which lost a fine group of senior leaders off the group which reached the MSHSAA Class 2 Championships last year for the first time in the program's history.. ... -
