St. Peter School held its eighth-grade graduation ceremony Thursday, May 15, in the parish hall at St. Peter Catholic Church. Six students graduated with the support of friends and family at the event.

Littrell said he could remember when Carla was in fourth-grade and he walked into the room and he could barely see her. So he gave her an award for "finally growing tall enough to see over." (Rachel Harper/Democrat-News)

Littrell said he can remember in fifth-grade when Skylar Simpson's favorite saying was "Are you serious?" So he decided to give her the "Are you serious?" award. (Rachel Harper/Democrat-News)

Littrell told the audience believe it or not Daniel "was little at one time." So he wanted to give him an award he calls "the gentle giant." (Rachel Harper/Democrat-News)

Littrell said he can remember four years ago when he was teaching fifth-grade religion walking into class and seeing a young man with hair bushed out everywhere and kicking his feet, but his feet weren't touching the ground. So he awarded Jack with the award "finally his feet touch the floor." (Rachel Harper/Democrat-News)

Kristen's award was for "having a pencil for one whole period." Littrell said he can remember when she would lose a pencil at least twice a week. He said the funny thing is she had the pencil when she came into class, but they could never find it after that. Littrell said he made them pay for a pencil by doing push-ups for fun. Skylar Simpson also received the "Outstanding Student" award. Littrell said she has "always turned in great work." He said that if the assignment with a bonus was worth 105 points, Skylar would fuss if she got 104 points. (Rachel Harper/Democrat-News)
