Yep … I said “Christmas” wishes. I said it because this is, after all, the Christmas season. And I have some hopes and wishes for each of you.
For instance, I hope you have lots of wishes for yourself and your loved ones, and that the wishes that are most beneficial for you and your family come true.
I wish, for each of us, sound and productive work to do with our hands. I hope we look for, and find, ways to help and serve others. I think nothing gives one a sense of fulfillment like helping someone out. And I hope someone in your life finds the time and opportunity to help you when the need arises. Doing for others doesn’t have to be reciprocal, but it doesn’t hurt when it is.
I hope you dream big and reach high. I hope you always seek, find and live the truth. And I hope you always see the light of truth that is always there for the seeing, if we are to look.
I wish for us each to be able to be, as the Bible says, strong and courageous. I believe with all my heart that we will find strength and courage to be imperative as we face the year ahead. Being strong and courageous calls for a secure place to stand, and to take a stand; a firm foundation, if you will. The future, and quite possibly the near future, will be filled with changes for many. And these changes just might come upon us quickly, like a thief in the night, as it were.
That’s why I also want to wish for you a happy, joyful and grateful heart; a heart filled with laughter and song can carry us through much.
I wish you love, and peace, the warmth and comfort of home and family.
Most of all, I wish you Jesus. Remember Jesus? This is a holiday about Jesus. If you look at the very name of the holiday you can see his heavenly title right there: CHRISTmas. I hope with all my heart that we each seek him and find him.
From our home to yours, may God bless and keep you always — and may you have a very, merry Christmas!
