Eastwood bridges project

In 2005, the two bridges on Eastwood Street at the east edge of Marshall, one spanning railroad tracks and one spanning Salt Fork Creek, were closed. The railroad bridge, especially, was in poor condition and was deemed unsafe by MoDOT. In 2006, the City of Marshall annexed the land and won a MoDOT grant that paid for most of the cost of replacing the bridges. The bridge project was finished in 2010.
