Ralph T. Snyder
Ralph T. Snyder, 81, of Springfield, Mo., passed Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Pastor Jeff Sippy officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home. The family requests that masks be worn at all events. Born Jan. 26, 1939, in Knob Noster, Mo., he was the son of Ruben Snyder and Evelyn Backs Snyder. On Nov. 4, 1967, he married Rosa Williams Bryson. Ralph was a U.S. Army veteran and was also in the Army National Guard in Marshall, Mo. He retired from MoDOT after 37 years. He was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield, Mo. Throughout his years, he held many different offices in the Lutheran Churches.
In addition to his wife, Rosa, he is survived by three stepchildren, Mrs. Debra (Fred) Lamb of Conway, Mo., Sandra Allen of Sweet Springs, Mo., and Randall (Kellie) Bryson of Sedalia, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Brumlow of Tennessee and Mrs. Esther (Virgil) Kelsay of Kansas; one brother, James (Lynn) Snyder of Texas; 11 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and one stepson, Mike Bryson.
Ralph and his wife, Rosa, loved to travel. Before retiring to Springfield area, Ralph and Rosa had a small farm in rural Marshall, Mo. Ralph was a good and loving father and husband. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his family.
