Sheila Morrow Sorto
Sheila Morrow Sorto, 64, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at Candlelight Lodge in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Masks are strongly encouraged, and social distancing will be observed. Born July 17, 1956, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Francis Melvin Morrow and Virginia Toles Morrow. Sheila graduated from Marshall High School in 1974 and then worked at Marshall Habilitation Center, Boyd Street Café, and as a foster grandparent at St. Peter Catholic School. She attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Lisa Duncan Gordon (Anwar) of Columbia, Nancy Simmons (Kenny) of Norman, Okla., and Christopher Sorto of Marshall; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pam Taylor of Columbia, Ruth Gieringer (Ken) of Marshall and Doris Wulff (Jim) of Otterville; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Winningham.
