Stanley ‘Dale’ Conaway

Stanley “Dale” Conaway, 77, of rural Marshall, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Community Cancer Center in Marshall, and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born Sept. 24, 1943, in Hardin, Mo., he was the son of the late Thomas Jacob Conaway and Ethel Mae Clemens Conaway. He was a 1961 graduate of Smithton High School. On July 12, 1963, he married Patty L. Thompson, who survives of the home. Dale lived in Saline County most of his life where he was a mechanic. He worked at McKinney Chevrolet and then owned his own business, Dale’s Auto Repair, from 1977 until his retirement. He was a member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his wife, Patty, he is survived by two sons, Richard Dale Conaway (Robin) of Warsaw, Mo., and Ronald Dean Conaway (Susan) of rural Marshall; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Bosley of Marshall and Barbara Dial of rural Nelson; one brother, Kenneth Conaway of Marshall Junction; as well as several nieces and nephews.
