Shirley A. Cook, 86, of Sweet Springs, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs, with the Rev. Victor Smith and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Social distancing will be observed and face coverings are encouraged. Born Dec. 24, 1933, in Saline County, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Leonard F. Steinkuehler and Selma Kueker Steinkuehler. She was a lifelong resident of Sweet Springs and a graduate of Sweet Springs High School. On Dec. 20, 1952, she married Maurice Cook, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2009. She retired from Sprint Telecommunications. She was a faithful member of Sweet Springs Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Cook (Linda) of Marshall and Robert Cook of Sweet Springs; three grandchildren, Tamara Cott (Shawn), Mark Cook (Holli) and Kelley Fessenden (Doug); two great-grandchildren, Trenton Cott (Ellie) and Eric Cook; two sisters, Dorothy Dittmer and Charlene McCreight; along with a niece and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Doris Cook; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Dittmer and Ron McCreight.
