Letter to the Editor: Municipal band brings joy
As I sat on a bench listening to the last beautiful concert of the Marshall Municipal Band, I thought of how fortunate I was to have grown up in this area. I couldn't have been more proud of my hometown seeing the crowd that had gathered to listen to the music and the man directing the band, Kevin Lines. As I looked around, even the parking spaces were almost full, reminding me of days gone by. There are times when we all complain about something happening in our city, but we need to focus on the good things and try to work to alleviate the bad things. I for one will miss the Thursday night gatherings until the band will be back next year to celebrate their 100th anniversary. Letís pray that our country will be back to normal, rid of the Covid-19, the riots non-existent, and a fair election on the books. Thank you to all who work so hard every week under the sweat of their brow to bring us joy.
