Rose Mary Wise, 92, of Vintage Park of Louisburg, Kan., died Aug. 5, 2020, at Hospice of Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kan.

Cremation. Rosary will be at 10 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, at St. Mary’s Church, Higginsville, Mo., with Fr. Tom Hawkins officiating. The organist will be Virginia Graham. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Higginsville, followed by a Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, 9720 W. 87th St., Overland Park, KS 66212.

Rose was born May 11, 1928, in Higginsville to the late Joseph and Irene (Gassen) Beck. She graduated from Higginsville High School in 1946. On Aug. 6, 1946, she married Paul Franklin Wise at St. Mary’s Church, in Higginsville. She moved to Marshall in 1954 and lived there until 2008. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Marshall. She was known as the babysitter for more than 62 years by many families and children that she cared for in Marshall.

Rose is survived by her children, Greg Wise (Pat) of Arnold, Mo., Doug Wise (Debbie) of Clayton, N.C., Cathy Christoffersen (Edward) of Paola, Kan., Robert Wise (Ginger) of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Philip Wise (Sara) of O’Fallon, Ill.; brothers and sisters, Doris Franklin of Higginsville, Joann Bell of Columbia, Mo., Juanita Rinne (Darrel) of Higginsville, Robert Beck (Barbara) of Higginsville; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wise; a grandson, Michael Wise; a brother, Edgar Beck; a sister, Marjorie Beck; a sister-in-law, Helen Beck; and two brothers-in-law Ralph Franklin and Gilbert Bell.
