Chauncey Lee Elliott
Chauncey Lee Elliott Sr., 90, of Sedalia, formerly of Marshall, died Monday, May 18, 2020, at his home.

Born March 4, 1930, in Alexis, Ill., he was the son of the late Thomas Elliott and Dolly Williams Elliott Courson. Chauncey served in Korea with the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He married Marjorie Elliott, who later divorced, and then married Bonnie Clark who preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 1996. He lived in the Galesburg, Ill., area for many years where he was a trash collector/driver for Citywide in Galesburg. He moved to Marshall in 1991 and then to Sedalia earlier this year.
Survivors include three sons, Garl Elliott (Jane) of Galesburg, Ill., Chauncey Elliott Jr. (Carol) of Sedalia, and Stan Elliott (Betty) of Marshall; three stepsons, Chuck Stewart, Jim Stewart and William Stewart; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Courson Jr. of Galesburg, Ill.; and other extended family.
Chauncey was preceded in death by his parents; wives; one son, Steven Elliott; one daughter, Debra Davis; stepfather, Charles Courson Sr.; and two brothers.
