Barr crowned as MHS Winter Warming Queen

Senior Greta Rose Barr was crowned as the 2020 Marshall Winter Warming Queen during ceremonies held at halftime of the Owls’ basketball game Friday against the Mexico boys.

Barr (center) is a football cheerleader and Bird Cage member who has been in the orchestra for four years, FFA for three years, and National Honor Society for two years. She was escorted by her father, Joe Barr (left), and classmate Drew Arends.

The Queen’s Court consisted of Sky Cabrera, escorted by her mother, Mayra Montano; Hannah Pomerenke, escorted by her father, Duane Pomerenke, and brother, Luke; and Jaidyn Townsend, escorted by her father, James Townsend, and classmate Jace Lance.

Crownbearers for the coronation were Valerie Summers, daughter of Jordan and Sara Summers, and Jaxson Bridges, son of Edwin and Renae Bridges. They were escorted by senior Bird Cage leader Chloe Blumhorst.
