Pamela Kay Willis
Pamela Kay Willis, 50, of Leavenworth, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at her home. She was born and raised in Marshall, Mo., the daughter of Susan Willis and Sammy Willis.
She received a teaching degree from Pittsburg State University. Pamela taught at many schools including East Middle School and David Brewer Elementary in Leavenworth, Kan., Lansing High School in Lansing, Kan., and Exeter School in Exeter, Mo.
On June 2, 1987, her only child, Jerrad Willis, was born. Her family was extended on June 11, 2011, with the marriage of Jerrad to Kara Miller. Then on March 10, 2019, her only grandson, Nicholas Eugene Willis was born, and her family was finally complete.
Pamela is also survived by her parents; an adored aunt, Wanda Case; two cherished nieces, Charline “Charlie” Chiaromonte and Taylor McCain, with their families; aunts Norma Eddy and Barbara Willis; her uncle, Jimmy Willis; along with countless other friends and family from Leavenworth, Kan., Marshall, Mo., Slater, Mo., Ft. Leonardwood, Mo., Warsaw, Mo., Columbia, Mo., Denver, Colo., Batesville, Ark., Cheraw, S.C., and Fort Walton Beach, Fla., whom were blessed to know her.
Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved older brother, Delbert Willis.
Pamela touched the lives of many people with her love and knowledge.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of her life on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home (4701 10th Ave, Leavenworth, KS).
