Wanda Marie Edwards
Wanda Marie Edwards, 91, of Saddlebrooke, Ariz., formerly of Marshall, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at her sonís home in Saddlebrooke, Ariz., where she had lived for the past five years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with the Rev. Sandy Nenadal officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Feb. 23, 1928, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Welch and Lillian Mae Hayes Welch. She was a 1946 graduate of Marshall High School. On June 1, 1946, she married Robert Wesley Edwards, who preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1999. She was a librarian for Consolidated School District No. 1, Ruskin Heights, Mo., for 10 years.
Wanda was a long-time resident of Kansas City, Mo., and then retired to Stover, Mo., and then Sedalia, Mo. She moved to Arizona for the last five years of her wonderful life.
She was a long-time member of the Red Hats, and in Saddlebrooke she enjoyed being a member of the Women On Our Own and Singles groups.
Survivors include one son, Robert Terry Edwards (Linda) of Saddlebrooke, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Marcy (Edwards) Stuhlsatz, Matthew Edwards, Erin (Ward) Williams and Allison Ward; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jane (Edwards) Ward; and a son in infancy, Mark Wayne Edwards.
