Quick Take: After falling to top-ranked Lincoln last week, the Greyhounds are loading up for a visit by I-70 Conference rival Santa Fe ... at least the team of last year. These Chiefs are different, though, having won two of their last three games -- around a hard-fought loss at defending league champion Wellington-Napoleon. Santa Fe has found some good run-pass balance behind junior fullback Drew Schmidt and senior quarterback Dakota Boehmer. Meanwhile, Sweet Springs has strong rushing attack behind a veteran offensive line and sophomore Cole Lovercamp.

Lone Jack 43, at 'Cats 36

Last Playoffs: 2014 District 7

at Plattsburg 42, Mules 6 (final)

.

Friday at Lone Jack, 7

.

Quick Take: The 'Cats felt they let one slip away last year during a 43-36 home loss to Lone Jack, and have had the rematch marked on their calendar since then. The Mules are off to a rough start, losing their first four games before beating struggling St. Paul last week. Slater is currently leading the District 5 standings and will pick up bonus points for playing a Class 2 opponent.
