Sue Bailey, 78, of Marshall, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at First Christian Church in Marshall, with the Rev. Dr. Loy Hoskins and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or charity of donor’s choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 21, 1941, in Houstonia, Mo., Sue was the daughter of the late William Fluty and Mary Houchen Fluty. She lived in Marshall most of her life and was a 1959 graduate of Marshall High School. On June 19, 1960, she married Roger Bailey, who later divorced. She worked at KMMO radio, Lee’s Studio, Sears, and retired from Missouri Valley Physicians. She was a member of First Christian Church. She loved being with her daughters and grandchildren and also loved playing cards with special friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Hartley (Todd) of Marshall and Mindy Kissner (Jim) of Blue Springs; five grandchildren, Kate, Abbey and Anna Hartley, Jake and Meg Kissner; one sister, Edie Utlaut of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her beloved cat, Gracie.
