Marshall Lions Club to host 9/11 stair climb tribute
The Marshall Lions Club invites everyone to come pay tribute to the first responders who paid the ultimate price on Sept. 11, 2001, when the World Trade Center was attacked.
The Marshall Lions Club has organized a stair climb equivalent to the number of stairs climbed by the first responders in the WTC on that fateful day. The stair climb will take place at the Marshall High School football stadium on Saturday, Sept. 7, and start at 8:30 a.m. There will be an admission fee if anyone wants to participate. Registration will be from 7:15 to 8 and the opening ceremony will commence at 8:15.
All the admission fees will be used to help raise money for the Saline County Emergency Management Team, local first responders and Marshall Lions Club's Community Fund. Sponsors and donations are encouraged.
