Kiwanis meet June 25
The Marshall Kiwanis held its regular meeting at noon, Tuesday, June 25, at The Rock First Presbyterian Church on E North Street.
Jack Lenz offered the invocation, and Club President Charles Ferguson led the Pledge of Allegiance and called the meeting to order with 21 members and one guest in attendance.
Gabe Ramsey introduced his guest, Saline County Conservation Agent Chase Wright. Wright proceeded to share about such recent events as the kid’s day at Blind Pony Lake where they went “frogging.” He further explained that with the extensive rains in Missouri that flooding has had and effect in numerous areas that have hampered access to lakes and rivers and impacted fishing conditions. Wright briefly explained that various regulatory adjustments have been initiated that will affect fishing and hunting, but not drastically.
Following a brief Q&A, the meeting was adjourned with Lee Bearden winning the $10 pot.
The next Kiwanis meeting will be Tuesday, July 2.
