Wednesday, June 12, 2019
A celebration and grand opening of the Fun For All Playground was held on Saturday, June 8, at Indian Foothills Park in Marshall. Board members and members of the community spent time enjoying the brand new playground on Saturday after the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Playground was funded by the Saline County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled (SB40 Board), in partnership with the Marshall Parks and Recreation Board, who provided the land; a grant from the Olen Howard Foundation; a grant from the Orscheln Foundation; and grants from anonymous donors. Bayer Crop Science donated benches for the playground. Pictured cutting the ribbon (from left) are: Mike Lamberson, Park Board president; Marshall Krause, SB40 Board president; Marshall Mayor Julie Schwetz; Chad Unterreiner, director of Parks and Recreation; Jeff Stubblefield, past director of Parks and Recreation; Ann Graff, SB40 Board executive director; and Ron Duvall, SB40 Board vice president.
